I have a fantastic addiction doc. I have been on subs for 3 yrs. She keeps trying to get me to taper however the suboxone relieves my back pain up to 100% no exaggeration! And i can break an 8mg film into fours or on a bad day break in half. I feel as though its way better than pill chasing and the pain management qualities need to be studied.
Anyone who wants off suboxone, this is what my doc said...
Cut 25% and stay at that for three weeks. Then cut another 25% for three weeks and so on. Not sure if this works would like to hear feedback. Anyone else find sub tremendously helps back pain? I was on 2x 80mg OC and 4 roxys a day and said no more and found my addiction doc. Any insight would be great. Thanks.

Hi,
Welcome to Bluelight. I was on subs for a while, my doc is an x heroin user who prescribes subs. I do relate, I live with chronic pain, had 2 spinal surgeries. Congrats on moving onto the subs.

We actually have a Suboxone Mega Thread and FAQ v. 19 as well as a The Pain Management Megathread (Chronic and Acute Pain Discussion) Version 5.0 ~ V if you are ever interested. It's great to have you with us - I look forward to seeing you on the boards. Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions. :)

I'm New here. Can't figure out how to post a new thread so I'm going to do it here. I'm in active heroin user and shooting up for years anyways this last batch I got about a month ago left tons of lumps underneath my skin. And I lost my veins so that particular month I was shooting in my neck now I have these bombs where when I stretch my neck it hurts painfully like something is ripping or stretching. It's not an abscess but I don't know what it is I don't know if the doctor is going to have to cut it out or what can someone please reply if they have any knowledge on this

Hi DI505,
I like many others have lots of battle scars from my years of IV misadventures. Veins are shot to hell thru years of speedballing and I'm super reluctant to hit the groin vein.
My general rule of thumb is if it's hot, itchy or overly red and doesn't start disappearing of it's own accord then off to the docs it is.
Ya gear might've been cut with something that u reacted badly too. As it's in the sensitive neck area id get it checked sooner rather than later, although in my experience most of these lumps n bumps disappear on their own after a week or so.
