Greetings to all my fellow green- and bluelighters! I have been a 'lurker' for many years and decided to join this awesome community. I have learned a lot over the years reading from fellow members and the advice, information, and experiences they have shared. This community is a true treasure-trove of information from people whom I can relate to due to similar interests and experiences I have encountered in my life.
A little about me: I am from the great state of Kentucky but moved up to Indiana a few years ago due to school, work, my beautiful and supportive soon-to-be-wife, and wonderful daughter. I served in the army and did a couple tours in Iraq from the early to mid 2000s. I have always had an interest in opiates and amps since my adolescence, but due to actions and experiences that I went through while serving in the military that 'interest' became more of a relationship. I love the euphoria and sense of well-being brought on by opiates and the energy and creativeness brought on by amps.
I actually work in healthcare and you could say I'm at my best when I'm helping others during their most vulnerable times in their lives whether that's due to an illness, serious injury, or family members coping with those issues along with death and dying of loved ones. I have been through a lot in my life and I feel that it is most helpful in my job if you can provide care with more empathy than compassion. People appreciate you more when you can relate. That's why I wanted to join bluelight: being able to relate with others that have the same interests and experiences as myself. I can discuss or read about things on this site that aren't discussed with family members and certainly not at work.
