Hello all. I just got my prescription from a different pharmacy but I don't know anything about it. I usually get alza36 mg concerta (osmosis pump, barrel shape, whole nine yards). But today I got pink pills with simply "36" on them. They are pink with grey powder inside, packed with white beads. http://www.drugs.com/imprints/36-21894.html that is the exact pill. I would like to know the safest way to take them? And just any information in general would be great, I really could not find any info. Any help is appreciated.

Those nasties use the same design on the release system as Palladon(e) ER.

I think that extended release hydromorphone pills were taken out of US market since the ER method used to fail if you took alcohol with them.

Few years ago I got switched from oxycodone to hydromorphone and I got Palladone ER pills and it took for a while for me to get a good way to defeat it.

Easy way:
Crush the beads inside the pills with two spoons with few drops added to prevent beads from jumping while pressure is added.

Put the paste that was acquired this way to plate and let it dry. You can fasten the drying by aplying heat by putting it to a oven with low temps or by using a hairdryer.

Chop the paste into powder and snort. Then have a hard time with your nostrils.

Harder way:

Crush the beads in a same way as abowe put use alcohol instead of water.

Put the paste in an alcohol solution.

Filter the solution.

Evaporate the solution on a pyrex dish.

Scrape of the ingredients and use them with any ROA.

Thank you very much! There didn't seem to be much info out there about it, so hopefully you helped out some other folks as well.

You are welcome.

I should add that this sustained release mechanism has dibutyl sebacate (DBS), which is used to make the mechanism plastic. It is acidic and prolonged use of powder made by simply crushing the beads might cause damage to your sinuses.

This chemical is not soluble to water (0.04g per litre) and also nonsoluble in alcohol (idk about the amount though).

Therefore it will stay on the filter if the alcohol based filtering and evaporation process is done.

It can be done with water too but alcohol breaks that sustained release mechanism totally, which was the reason why Palladon(e) ER or SR (brands depend on where you live) was voluntarily taken off from market in United States when FDA asked Purdue Pharma to do that.

Although this same sustained release mechanism has been licensed to many pharmaceutical companies and even that hydromorphone product is still sold in EU for example and even in Finland where people abuse much more alcohol than in US for example.

More information for that alcohol related breakdown of the sustained release mechanism can be found here:

You could always have that Ritalin with a shot of good vodka or glass of whiskey and it makes it instant release :) Of course combing methylphenidate with alcohol is an another issue...
