most non-druggies don't even know that two chemicals mix to form a similar chemical
And most chemists know that this is wrong
When you mix to compounds together, unless there is an actual catalyzed chemical reaction - which is certainly not guaranteed to happen if you just throw 2 random compounds together, in fact if you do this you could very well blow yourself up - you simply have a mixture. A mixture of 2 separate chemicals that don't interact with each other (at least significantly, or the reaction would have taken place to begin with). You have not created any new compound(s)
While this certainly
can happen(take sugar(sucrose) for example, it is what is know as a
disaccharide, meaning the 2 seperate
monosaccharides were chemically bonded in a way to create a brand new compound, which just so happens to be very much alike to it's parent compounds.), it is not
certain to happen.
The laws of chemistry must be known and applied before any kind of attempt is made <- THIS I think is of great importance to you especially
Furthermore, mixing 2 "chemicals" (which is an awfully vague term as there are some 10,000,000+ known chemicals, inorganics aside) does not guarantee at all that the resulting compound will be similar in structure or nature to the original chemicals.
I very much hope this makes sense to you danv
