A little history:

You guys know I have been dependent on tramadol since 2003. It is my drug of choice to be honest with you. I tried cannabis in 2004 and liked it as well. Mainly enjoyed smoking it in late evening or night. I quit smoking cannabis in January 2009. Haven't smoked any since. However, I am still dependent on tramadol. And expect to be for awhile longer.

Over the past week I have come across JWH-018. A synthetic cannabinoid agonist. There is a guy mixing up a blend of useless herbs and then spraying it with JWH-018. I tried it several days ago and was blown away. I took 4 hits off of a joint. None of the herbs cause a high, it's the JWH-018 sprayed on it that does. I did not expect it to work this well and feel just like THC. In fact, I find it more potent and intense than cannabis (THC, etc). I think I am becoming addicted to JWH-018. Back when I smoked cannabis it was an everyday thing, sure, but I knew physical dependence is very limited with cannabis. And I didn't smoke cannabis during the day as much as I am JWH-018.

What about JWH-018 and other synthetic CB agonists? Do they cause severe physical dependence or is it very limited like with natural cannabis? I have been using it daily for about 4 days now. I'm using it more than I used cannabis back when I smoked. I'm taking a couple of hits several times throughout the day. About every 2 hours. JWH effects come on quick and go away quick. I like that. It kicks in about 45 seconds after a few hits, then I peak rapidy, then over the course of an hour or so the effects diminish slowly and then just drop suddenly and I have no after effects such as lethargy, clouded mind, etc as I did with cannabis.

I find it much easier to socialize and act straight on JWH even though it is more potent than THC.

It is mixing fantastically with my daily tramadol. When JWH kicks in, it is intense euphoria. I'm talking empathetic, bright, and intense euphoria. I'm sure the tramadol mixing with it is playing a big role in that. And I of course get those trippy tactile effects that cannabinoids are known for. Time distortion, easy laughter, relaxation, hunger, visual distortions sometimes, philosophical thoughts. But the intense euphoria is what I'm liking about JWH-018.

I have also been using Xanax on occasion and find that it mixes well with the tram and JWH as well.

I think I am becoming addicted to JWH-018. I hope it doesn't cause a nasty physical dependence. I'm sure being a full agonist it has more risk of dependency than THC, etc do.

Never heard of this stuff. If you're feeling the need to take a few hits every couple hours, it may be getting a grip on you. You did say how euphoric it makes you feel and seems like you're becoming quite fond of it. I don't know what this "full agonist" term means but it could very well become addicting. Do some research and find out what it's all about. I would hate to see you get addicted so try not to use it so much ok! ~theresa

THC is a partial agonist.
This JWH stuff is a full agonist. More potent.

Yeah I've been enjoying it a lot. Does anyone know JWH and other synthetic cannabinoids can cause dependency? I know dependency with cannabis (THC, etc) is very limited.

Is there a physical dependency to THC? I always thought it was a psych kind of thing.

THC doesn't normally cause physical dependency, but a few daily, heavy smokers claim to experience minimal withdrawal symptoms such as agitation, difficulty sleeping, loss of appetite, craving, etc.

When i quit THC suddenly all i experienced was craving and boredom for a few days.

Can someone explain to me if JWH is the stuff they put in K2? I don't know a lot about cannabis except how to grow it really.

But the OP said he can act normal around people on JWH, I thought K2 was a form of JWH, and I can NOT function at all on that shit, alone, or around people.

Just quit cold turkey. Don't be a pussy. It's not that much more addictive than regular cannabis.

There's no reason to believe it wouldn't be addictive. It's a pure full CB1 agonist as well as CB2 agonist. It will shut down your insulin-ghrelin hormonal axis in your brain and pancreas, leaving you hardly able to tolerate or digest food when you aren't stoned. Similar to the way adrenergic stimulant drugs can shut your thyroid hormonal axis down if you become reliant on them.

I have gone through some seriously bad JWH-018 withdrawal cold turkey. It felt like what people describe heroin withdrawal as, and I couldn't last 72 hours before I gave up quitting and started vaporizing JWH-018 again.

If you want to quit JWH-018, the absolute easiest way to do it is to replace it with real cannabis and taper off smoking one hitters of cannabis. The mix of agonists and antagonists in cannabis buds tends to do wonders for one's tolerance/addiction, just like Suboxone does for opioid addiction.

I personally think JWH feels dirty, and I would be damned if I smoked it every day. Not enough is known about it, plus it has that pesky napthalene ring in it's structure.

If you wanna try it I understand. But if you want a cannibinoid to do every day, cannabis is probably quite a bit safer in the long run.

best of luck

Yeah JWH is what's in K2.

I'm guessing OP is just taking low doses of it. JWH will get me a lot higher then marijuana.

This is really interesting to me because I've always been looking for ways to lower my tolerance to pot (or increase its effects w/out stopping for months on end) and was wondering what a tiny bit of JWH would feel like with pot.

JWH is too strong for me, but pot is too weak, I think I may try mixing them together and see if I can still be happy from the pot but get the psychedelic effects from the JWH... which is really just what the pot lacks now.

Sorry to hijack your thread OP I'm just thinking out loud really.
And as far as your addiction to JWH I wouldn't stress it that much because compared to most pharmaceuticals and drugs in general I think what you're doing is on the bottom of the drug totem pole. Although its really mere speculation on my part.

JWH-018/73 does seem to be more moorish than THC, to me it's euphoria feels somehow sweeter than real pot, if that makes sense. I have had to swear off it, though, among other things, because I can't control my use of it.

No problem with "hijacking" the thread. I enjoy the conversation.

Yeah. I know JWH and cannabinoids in general are pretty much at the bottom of the totem, but no one knows if it causes physical dependency or not with long-term use.

i take tramadol daily for the last 7 years. and the past week mixing it with tram has been glorious

Bottom line is it's an amazing thing how various classes of drugs work on different receptors and have a varying degree of actions on the brain.

I have always liked natural cannabis (THC, etc), but find that I am liking JWH more. It's so weird. I did not want to smoke cannabis this much back when I smoked.

It's 5:32 AM and my first tramadol dose is kicking in and I'm wanting to smoke some JWH. I only have a roach left of it, but may be able to get more today. Someone recommended I get the powder form and smoke it through a lightbulb. Hell no! If I'm going to continue smoking JWH it will be through the random blend of herbs sprayed down with JWH. Not a powder form being smoked like a hard drug.

UPDATE: It is not 6:18 AM and I am feeling pretty good from my first tramadol dose for today. About to go toke one some of this JWH, but that'll be it until later this evening. I am really beginning to love JWH way too much.

I just tried JWH-018 and HU-18 on a proprietary herbal blend.... and it's a lot like plain good bud, only the come-up is a lot quicker.

Still, I'd rather smoke bud. I love the taste of it and the way it smokes a lot better than this herbal shit. I do smoke for reasons other than the high :\

^ Yeah. Back when I was smoking pot it wasn't just the high I enjoyed. It was that I loved the plant as well. I loved to roll joints as well. I quit smoking bud in January 2009 and haven't had any cannabinoids since, until last week I tried JWH-018 and I'm still using it daily.

So, I will know if these synthetic cannabinoids cause physical dependency or not soon.
