I seen this and felt it needed to be shared with everyone here.

I tried to post the chart here along with the link to the original, but it seems html is not allowed in the forum threads. So here is the link... enjoy!

Neurotransmitters and Drugs Chart

The chart lists Drug classes then Specific drugs, Mechanism, Major effects, Side effects, and Any medical use. For the neurotransmitters that are then listed it has effects, drugs that increase or mimic it, and drugs that decrease or block it.

Maybe this chart could be put in a thread in the Drug FAQs section?

Eh... its ok. I disagree with too many things on it e.g. "frequently death due to hyperthermia" re MDMA

I don't believe it's saying that frequent deaths result from MDMA-induced hyperthermia, but rather that MDMA generally causes death by inducing hyperthermia. That is generally the cause of MDMA induced death, IIRC.

There are much bigger holes, if you ask me. It's a very good work for general display.

The way I took it was "frequently death due to hyperthermia, heart attack, water intoxication, and other problems." I think it was poorly formated the way it was listed.

It does however say "Please ask questions, make comments, point out errors, and give suggestions by sending email to [email protected]."

ya there are a few things I dont completely agree with but otherwise it seems well researched and put together, props!
