SWIM tried to blast off on some recently made spice. SWIM over light the deems causing them to burn and create a very harsh smoke. SWIM did not breakthrough but noticed a lot of side effects... shakiness and weakness followed by muscles twitches that lasted for 5-10 minutes. SWIM also commented on her back feeling warm like there was a heater under it. fast forward 3 weeks... SWIM has been experiencing back and neck pains that have gradually gotten harder and harder to ignore. SWIM thinks the back pain originated around the same time that she did that blast. We are wondering if there is any chance that the spice that was smoked had any residual chems from the extraction process.

Is it possible for the naptha to stay in the deems if not evaporated fully?

Without a doubt...Unpurified drugs are harmful to everyone. I used to smoke any deemsters until I educated myself on the issue, and it's got to be crystal clear is it's going in this noggin! ^.^

As for the Naptha, I've been exposed to it, and has similar symptoms, which I would say were largely psychosomatic after a few weeks of getting physical therapys (Acupuncutr, Neruomuscular massage) Take care of your body and others, don't use dirty substances when possible, and keep on smile on ;)

I hope that person is doing Better. I<3 ll be thinking of em'

P.S. The warm neck I believe is an Beta-Endorphine rush (A Powerful one!) that is a perfectly wonderful side-effect of ingesting DMT

No if there was any solvent in there it would instantly ignite into a fireball and you would know. The "flame test" is the best way to determine if there is any left and most will evaporate fully. I use to do it with my dxm extractions and i drank those whatever your worried about im sure was destroyed in the fire.

It is possible for it to stay there but why dont you try pouring some on a powder like sugar and touching it with fire, im sure youll see that it is in fact extremely flammable.

Just think of howmany alkaloids are extracted with that technique. With a simple naphta extraction the number of substances present in the end product are uncountable, with an acid base extraction the end product will account anything containing an amine group, the odds of having highly neurotoxic substances in your end product is stilll high. It takes professional labware and skill to etract nearly pure DMT.

Naphta takes very high ammounts to provoque significant simptoms.
Take a big break with proper nutrition and you'll probably get much better, then later on, only consume highly purified extractions to minimize damage.

Wellcome to Bluelight BTW, the harm reduction forum.
A few months here will really be worthwile for your health and education.
