NEGATIVE Drug-test after taking lsd on the same day???

well about a week ago i took with my friend a half of a tab of acid..
i forgot that i had to do a drug-test later that evening so i started tripping balls..
so after the trip slowly faddet away, i went over too my local police station and gave them my urin..
ofcourse i thought that they would arrest me now or something like that, but after 5min of painfull waiting the officer came too me and said that everything was OK and i was allowed to go home
now my question is, how is that even possible?
does that mean i can take acid when i want and allways have a negative test or what?:D
maybe someone of you guys has had similar experiences, and i would love too read your responses.

I have been drug tested (although the people involved knew that I used crazy substances that couldn't be detected so it was more a trust thing - then again I was withdrawing from benzo's at the time so if there was ever a time I could have used a 'fix' it was then.), but not sure which "panel". I understand that common are panel 9 and panel 14, panel 14 tests for these:

COC - Cocaine
THC - Marijuana
OPI - Opiates
mAMP - Methamphetamines
TCA - Tricyclic Antidepressants
OXY - Oxycodone
BZO - Benzodiazepenes
BUP - Buprenorphine
BAR - Barbiturates
MTD - Methadone
AMP - Amphetamines
MDMA - Ecstasy
PCP - Phencyclidine
PPX - Propoxyphene

Which is IMO outdated and oddly specific at a few point. Testing for 14 must be more expensive than 9.

We don't really allow drug testing questions that are formulated with the aim of cheating drug tests, but you can draw your own conclusions from the list above.
Maybe it is too hard to test PEAs and tryptamines broadly because they are always in urine, IDK. Also even if they did test for psychedelics, after taking LSD it is present in incredibly low concentrations, specific testing would be very expensive.

They can test for LSD, it's definitely possible, and I believe it has become less expensive, but it's not included in even the 14 panel as solipsis said.
That doesn't mean it might not be tested for in the future, if you have a drug test coming up simply don't do it

If I remember correctly LSD is only detectable for a few hours after ingestion, after that it won't show. I might be wrong here though.

It was formulated that way back in the day when detection instruments (picomolar I believe) were not yet in fashion. It can still be true if analysis equipment is used that is outdated or simply not state of the art.

LSD doesn't show up in urine tests unless its specifically asked for, which is rare. I was in a drug program for psychedelic drugs, after I had a psychotic episode. I had a 9 panel test, none of which were for psychedelics. Even most tests with the highest amount of panels won't even test for LSD. Psychedelic drugs aren't really drugs of abuse so it wouldn't make sense to have them in a drug test.
But it is possible and you should be able to tell from your situation. So in summary, no, you don't have to worry about it, you aren't being tested for psychedelics.

All I can say is all my friends on probation eat LSD and Mushrooms, nothing else. However one time at a fest my buddy got a bunk tab and he actually tested positive for PCP I have no Idea how this is possible I believe it was actually DOI or DOX and Might have slight relation in chemical structure, I have no friggin idea, Play safe test your stuff if you are getting tested.

I agree that it is not usually tested for. It has to be specific for LSD and requested and that is not as frequent. That being said, drug tests are not the be all, end all. It is sometimes to your benefit and sometimes not, but do a search for how often drug tests conclude with false positive and false negative results. It happens a lot and can end up being a bad deal for a lot of folks. I was on daily oxycontin for years and took a urine drug screen and it came out negative. There was no way it was correct.
