Heroin Needles?

When you walk into a drug store and buy a box of needles.. do they ever ask questions? I've used rough looking gear before out of fear I'd get arrested (paranoia disorder, comes and goes) or just me trying to avoid confrontation. Are you asked for your I.D., are you asked anything?

If I use an old needle one more time, I'm afraid I'll contract a serious disease or fuck up my arm. I'm against sharing needles, but I'll use my gear for a full month (shooting 3-4 days a week) before I seek something new. My dealer sells me two needles for $40, which I know is a rip off but he knows I do not want to buy them anywhere.

Where the fuck do you even buy needles anyway?

depends where you live. if you do a search here you can find info on state laws. in Canada most pharmacies are enlightened enough to sell them without asking questions.

good excuses for buying rigs are: I have 2 diabetic cats, it's for an art project, I'm going to inject crack and vinegar into my eyeball.

if your area has a needle exchange you can get them free

if not one pharmcy by my house sells single needles for $.15 and the others around my house sell 10 packs for $3.. $40 for 2 needles is RIDICULOUS your dealer is making a KILLING off you and ripping you off extremely bad
they have never asked me any questions buying needles ever and i've done it over a hundred times

Thanks guys, you've helped a lot. I'm residing in Canada right now, so next time I'm going around I'll see if I can't pick up some needles at a local pharmacy. I like the diabetic cat idea, though I'm more prone to being a douche in situations like that (which is why I tried avoiding it for so long) and I know I'd tell the pharmacist to 'suck it easy, my business--not yours' or something ridiculous.

there are needle exchanges. don't know if they have those in canada... but look into it. i do not think you can buy them from a pharmacy?

another thing to remember is that if they don't ask you any questions, there's no need to divulge any information. Just get your shit and go, unless you feel the need to hit the bathroom on the way out, I have no shame , so I do all the time.

I'm going to close this now and ask that you refer to the megathread if you have any more issues. Really though all you have to do is walk into the pharmacy and ask for them while managing to not divulge you are using them for illicit purposes. Not too hard. You can always buy them online if you have a mailing address as well.
