IV doesnt do a god damn thing to your body in any way when you do it right, you will not fucking "smell" like ^ says, thats retarded, you will not have heart problems, you will not have vein problems.
That said, you WILL get some of those things if the following are true, A) your drugs suck and your dealer cut them with grandmas face powder, B) you use fucked up needles and not a fresh, new, sharp, sterile needle every time C) you clean the site EVERY TIME with alcohol D) AT LEAST filter the shit your injecting if it isnt USP injection from the pharm industry, you shouldnt be injecting tap water either, go get saline from a pharmacy, or at least a jug of distilled water from the grocery store which is a little cleaner than tap or anything else you have.
*DO NOT* use a needle more than once, for a number of reasons, first you get blood in it usually , and it will clot, then you inject again and you shoot a bloot clot into your veins AKA heart attack waiting to happen, Second, if your needle is not ABSOLUTELY new and sharp, it can "burr" which means the tip goes from being straight and sharp, to bending over like an asian in a sex shop, this means you have a SHARP object at a 90 degree angle going in your vein, you might as well use scissors instead. Next we have the fact that the needle can become completely clogged making it impossible to draw or shoot with it, next we have the fact that water siting in almost anything will eventualy grow bacteria in it, causeing serious infection or other shit.
Now that we have gone over the REAL causes of the things that can happen, STOP BLAMING EVERYTHING YOU FUCK UP ON THE ENTIRE IDEA OF IV INJECTION, when your in the hospital, what do they use? IV THERAPY, and how many times does the shit you describe happen? ALMOST NONE (the times it does are because of idiot nurses akin to idiot users like we have here), iv therapy is 100% safe when done correctly, of course as we can see idiots cant figure things out correctly so they blame there problems on things they *think* are "evil", there opinionated to say the least, and they are usually wrong.
Please follow whats called aseptic technique, which i outlined above, you can find it by searching for the words there in a search engine easily, and there should be a list of things to follow, please follow them.
