I have ulcerative colitis and also find I am very sensitive to dehydration. I'll sometimes have episodes where I start vomiting every 15-20 minutes and it doesn't stop. I can't even drink a sip of water without vomiting it back up almost immediately when this happens. I find in these situations I have to go to the hospital and get an IV of fluids, usually accompanied by an IV of gravol (which is also great to take the night before if you're drinking and know you're going to be hungover the next day or even just the morning of). After that, I spend the day drinking things like gatorade and eat a bland meal usually consisting of toast and soup.
If you dehydrate yourself regularly, I recommend trying to drink a thing of gatorade (I find the less sugary stuff of the G2 variety works a lot better if your stomach is sensitive) at least every other day. I find it helps my body out a great deal and reduces my trips to ER.
