Need suggestions for amphetamine and SSRI mixes for ADHD and Depression

I have in between moderate and severe ADHD and what I think is called severe episodic depression (basically certain things will trigger very severe depression that pretty tosses the rest of the day or even weekend out the window) and I was wondering what mix of pills I should take for my problems? I am not looking to abuse or use recreationally.

If it helps at all, yesterday I tried taking 15mg of Dexedrine Spansule and one pill (can't remember the dosage) of Fluoxetine/Prozac (no prior experience to any mood drugs), and the first few hours were incredible. I was so focused, and it helped me act like a normal human being around people. After the Dexedrine died off, my ADHD came back twice as bad as before, I had jaw clenching problems for the next 6 hours, I was really hyper, talked up a storm, and then later on I just felt emotionless and I didn't feel like doing anything. I did some research and apparently Dexedrine and Fluoxetine don't mix well. What are some mixes with Dexedrine or something like it and a different antidepressant?

P.S. if it matters at all, I think the technical name for my depression is Melancholic Depression.

I hope I'm doing this thread thing right.

I would suggest you to visit a Dr. instead of selfdiagnostics.

I hope you are awere that any SSRI or other drug used for treating depression takes weeks or even months to start functioning?

You shouldn't be switching on and off from SSRIs or SNRIs. It will just give you side effects and there won't be therapeutic value at all.

Also I would like to add that depression is not short term either.

Melancholic depression is a sub type of major depressive episode or a sub type of Bipolar type I/II disorder's depressive episode.

All of those must continue over two weeks until it is even called as episode of said type.

Therefore something that only lasts for a day or few days is not a depression at all and therefore cannot be treated with anti-depressants.

Some hormone related conditions may cause that fast mood swings as well as some other psychological disorders but depression won't.

Or it might be that those are just normal feelings or related to ADHD or trying to self medicate ADHD.

Yes, I was aware of how long it would take for the SSRI to even start to work, my original intention was just the SSRI, and not the Dex.

I was on Strattera for a long time it helped me tremendously. It put me to sleep for the first two weeks, but I was doing really well and accomplished a lot on that drug… once tolerated and stable on it.
My brain moves very very fast, it slowed it down and I was able to speak publicly again.
My current provider doesn't cover it. Of course seeing a doc is best, just my experience. I used Ritalin as a kid. I had a horrible experience with Prozac. I feel there are better ssri/snri out there.

As everyone else said, SSRIs won't work from a one-time dose. I only have side effects for the first week, and I don't notice mood benefits till later.

I'm currently on a mix of antidepressants/mood stabilizers and Concerta. I tried standard Ritalin before, but it made my depressive episodes much worse when it wore off. I'd advise a long-acting stimulant, but of course I am not a doctor.
