Looking for stories and tips. My husband seems to have backed himself into a very nasty corner. We are proud he put down the needle. But we feel this stuff will kill him but the wd is so much worse. A bottle of 96 is lasting him a day

If you are looking for any replies, you must lay out some facts like: how long was he on loperamide and how high did he start taking the loperamide. That would help.

Start tapering the dose slow say 2 mg every few days and slowly getting that garbage out of his system. Get some Gatorade and fluids going. I gave a very basic idea on how to start a taper. The speed at wich you taper is based on what you can handle.

Loperamide can be cardiotoxic in high doses, so is it possible for him to switch to another opioid and taper?
