i posted this in another thread yesterday and one of the moderators removed it for a reason i didnt agree with.
i am not looking for anything but valid information.
i am a severe pain management patient in California......im prescribed opana 40s, oxycodone 10mg IR and diazapam, and of course i have my california legal 215.
i have a multitude of injuries including having my right arm severed and sewn back on, left arm both bones in my forearm completely green stick shattered to the point the drs replaced both my forearm bones with fake ones. ive had 3 shoulder surgeries ( and am primed to go in for a complete ball and socket replacement soon) 3 MAJOR back operations, and more recently my back was broken in 3 places in an unrelated/seperate accident.
each month the dr gives me pretty much the max amount of the previously mentioned medications that he can perscribe.i try to take as little as i can get away with each month, so i always end up with extra meds (anywere from 2-3 to 10-20), so i stick them back and save them . as a result i have accumulated well over what my monthly scrypt is (i started doing this as a recommendation by my dr because of the constant problems on what insurances will pay for and what they wont so i have meds available if theres some sort of insurance coverage problems). my question is this. seeing as i have a scrypt, im assuming that keeping this stash is OK? they are in marked original prescription bottles, and ive never heard of any laws that say if you have extra opioid medications you have to get rid of them.
any info (if the thread doesnt disappear from an over zealous moderator) would be greatly appreciated.
