I have nothing against greed (within boundaries; an oxymoron of sort), but the mass retailing of powerful psychoactives in "flashy" pre-packaged (with names like white rush, 8-ball, etc, etc) without stating the active compound(s), content, purity and batch #, is not simply an act of greed.........it is dare I say, immoral (I don't use that word often).
Even in light of the various RC-related issues I've encountered/witnessed from both the perspective of a former user/current 'dabbler' and as a physician, I have yet to encounter a compound that warrants scheduling or emergency 'control' legislation. While already well into my fellowship when this particular cathinone/MDPV/ "head-shop grade stimulant" issue reached its current hysteria, I have yet to personally witness or be directly informed of any cases in which suspected tox crisis involving the stimulants in question have resulted in anything more than the run-of-the-mill stimulant tox psychosis (it should noted I do not work in first emergency or psychiatric units). Sure, deaths from acute tox or bizarre actions precipitated by acute intox have been attributed to some of these compounds (in some cases, rightfully so), but the sum of these casualties would be likely surpassed by ethanol related casualties I've personally witnessed during those nasty holiday weekend emergency shifts.
My long drawn out point of all of this.......my cellphone battery is dying (or, death to mass RC vendors, etc)
