Hello here to try and get some opinions on my sitch. I'm a 40 year old male with horrible pain issues. I will try and make this a short as I can. My issues really started in 1997. I was bit by a tick in northern MN on vacation and contracted lyme disease (still fucks with me) Prior to that I had only been to Dr for sports physicals, broken ribs, motorcycle burns etc.. . Forward 2007. fell of my house cleaning gutters and crushed subtalar joint in right ankle. First surgery made it a year same pain came back. 2009 had my right ankle Fused and that sucked and still does suck to this day...only post op painkillers for a month or 2 on each surgery. 2011 started having really bad back pain. Went to a back best Spine Dr in town. diagnosed as L4 L5 disc issues and also degenerative disc disease... several discs have no cartilage left. I am 275 lbs. and a big boy. anyway Dr said I needed spinal fusion at lower discs but was to heavy...anyway treated me with soma 350's and 5/325 vikes 8 per day.
A year later they give me the we cant manage your pain anymore deal...I asked my Primary doc and he said he would take care of it. Ortho even wrote a letter for me...hears where shit gets bad...I have been on mostly Norco and lortabs no more than 45mg per day. he had also tried me on oxycontin 20mg 2 times day (2 different times) and also butrans patch. suboxone for 2 days Hated it made me wacked out and butrans patch caused allergic site reaction. back to putting me on Norco...every 2 months go in for 10 minutes and talk to him 5 minutes and get my refills, piss test every once in awhile. anyway wife freaked on me and Dr put me on subutex again!!!!!!! I hate it went back and tried to take me off of it 3 days later. anyway he told me that or methadone clinic wtf!!! for 5 7.5 Norco per day??? im not a junky ], never failed a test, but did admit to running out early 1 time.but he did not kick me out or say I was in violation of my pain contract. .i went back again same thing. told him I wanted off of it....same response..I am also on 8mg Xanax per day and have asthma. I checked out fda prescribing guide and I have all the reasons not to put me on that crap!!! its been 45-55 days and My back is worse then ever. I lost my job third day on sub (he prescribed 20 mg) hah!!! I fell asleep at my desk and was accused of being high and fired from a 65000.00 a year job.I now take 4-6 mg to keep cool for now, but I had no idea about the paws etc....I told him I need a referral back to my spine dr??? I just want my Norco back and my wife can live with it....I have seen others on a lot more shit then me for same condition??? Help!!!!
He put me on it one time and took me off, I haven't tolerated it in past...im not on herion and or oxy...I would of rather went cold turkey with his help...I think he is responsible and if another Dr was or state was to look at my file?? He has been my primary dr for 5 years now and my whole family goes to him and he has been super cool until as of late..
