Hey, I am an herion addict, but I was in rehab from October 1st 2016- October 31st 2016. I came home and stayed sober for about a week for two. Then I relapsed, I've been using about 3-4 bags of dope everyday for about 2 weeks now. And if I don't have any i start to get dopesick after the first day of not having anything in my system, I have 3 suboxones at home and I need to get clean and sober before I go back to work in 12 days. Does anyone have any advice for me? What I can do to not be so sick and get stuck in bed all day long, and how do I use the subs to ween off of them in a short period of time. And is there anything else I can take to feel better during the day while i stay home before I go back to work.

The quickest way out of this situation Bonesss is, perhaps, to try and tough it out. Using substitute poppies will only be useful for maintenance dosing, or for a gradual taper and with just 3 doses of Suboxone it is unlikely that you will be able to achieve either. If you have 12 days off work, this should be just enough time to get through the worst of the withdrawal syndrome providing you start NOW and do not resort to using any poppies for relief, including the Suboxone, as while they may provide relief during the worst of the discomfort they may prolong the WD and set you back a day or 4. There are other comfort medicines that are judged to be useful in these situations, short term benzodiazepine use can be helpful for starters, especially to help get through the long nights but of course these should be used with caution as they have issues of there own and you do not wish to trade on dependency for another. Adrenergic agonists (lofexidine, clonidine etc) are deemed useful for the horrible adrenaline type flushes that are such a pain during these periods and I personally find that even high dose, low frequency OTC NSAID's (Ibuprofen primarily) are quite impressive when it comes to managing leg and muscle ache.

Many of the 'comfort' medicines mentioned above are Rx only which may limit your opportunities to obtain them within the 12 days, but I personally believe that with only 12 days to play with, using these to support a straight up 'cold turkey' is your quickest, if not the most comfortable, route back to your 'baseline' opi - free physical state. Any use of poppy class drugs, including loperamide, may drag out what in the case of heroin is an extremely unpleasant, but relatively short (5 - 10 days depending on the person) wd stage.

I hope that you get some more responses and advice with this and wish you all the best in your struggles.

Welcome to Bluelight!
