I am about 5'10" or just a small bit taller (or shorter), and I weigh from 118 lb to 124 lb, depending on my clothes and diet in the previous weeks or month (it's about 123 lb now, I think.)
I usually take a vyvanse a day at 60mg, but today, I parachuted (took powder out and put the powder in my mouth like sugar to eat/swallow) a 60mg vyvanse at about 9:30 AM (I'm fairly certain that parachuting vyvanse doesn't help anything), and then another 60mg vyvanse at about 2:40 PM, resulting in a total of 120mg of vyvanse in what was about 5 hours. That had no noticeable negative effect on me, but instead prolonged the medicating action of my vyvanse and allowed a seemingly steady amount of motivation and work throughout the day. It is 11:00 PM now and it's still working, which I assume is because of the fact that vyvanse has an immediate release formula as well as a time release formula.
Now, however, I have generic Adderall XR. Thegeneric is marked, "M. Amphet Salts 20mg", and many medicine informational websites claim that it should be the same or similar to Adderall XR. It had the same active ingredients.
I've read that taking 10mg of Adderall XR is nearly the equivalent to taking 30mg of vyvanse. If this is the case, 40mg of Adderall XR should be similar to 120mg of vyvanse, which I've found out today that I could take within 5 hours.
Now, to my questions.
1. How many 20mg M. Amphet Salts capsules (generic Adderall XR) should I take tomorrow morning?
2. How much time should I wait between taking each one?
3. What method of ingestion would be best suited? Swallowing or breaking the capsule and directly ingesting the actual medication?
4. If you've experienced both medications (vyvanse and adderall XR), with my soon-to-be designated dosage, what kind of differences will I feel from switching from vyvanse to Adderall XR?
If it affects anything, I have briefly taken Adderal (immediate release I believe. Not XR) in the past at 20mg and at another time at what I believe was 30mg.
Thanks for any help.
