Currently have probobly 80 30mg ir brand name adderall have only been taking 15-20mgs a day going to my psych tommorow can some people with experience please help me with advice or suggestions on ways to do this successfully? Any natural things I can take ? If I should ask for gabapentin or benzos for the withdrawal I have awful anxiety not sure just would greatly appreciate some others thoughts/advice thank you so much in advance :( Rc

Toss out all the pills you have left once you leave your doctors office, be sure to toss them out in a place you can't retrieve them later.

You can ask for benzos or gaba drugs for anxiety, but keep in mind your doctor may not be very receptive of you asking. Also if you end up getting benzos use them strictly as needed and remember they are only good as a short term solution. Once you feel you are past the most uncomfortable parts get off of them, you don't want to trade one addiction for an even worse one.

Obviously try to work out as much as you can and eat well, it will be good to get your natural endorphins flowing instead of artificial ones (so to speak). Good luck and congrats on finding the strength to make a positive change in your life.

There's an amino acid supplement called " Tyrosine" that can help some with maintaining energy. I've used it in the past, in between my Adderall scripts.

And yeah, do be cautious of specifying meds you'd like to help withdrawal. Docs don't tend to like that. The way I would do that is to tell the doc you have heard that several other meds may help, then list them. Or simply ask what the doc suggests to help your anxiety. Keep in mind that anxiety is a side effect of amphetamines, so hopefully some of it will dissipate once you're no longer taking them. The doc will probably tell you the same thing. Good luck.
