My SO was addicted to HR a year ago. They went through the process of going to jail and then to rehab. He's been ok for a few months now that he's been out. Though this week I noticed a huge bruise on his forearm and a spot that looked like a needle mark. He told me that a yellow jacket had stung him there when he was moving trash...-_- he thinks I'm stupid I suppose. His wedding band was 'lost' now and he hoped I hadn't noticed. Its kind of a big warning sign for me if jewelry starts to go missing..but I do want to give him the benefit of the doubt before I start accusing him. He is also on probation and the only way I can find any comfort is if I let his PO know and they take him for a drug test. I just want to know for certain if sticking a needle can make a bruise like that. His story about the yellow jacket was seemed kind of out there because he said there was a nest in a box he had been moving....:/ this is all making me depressed and I get anxiety quite easily. I could confront him now but I don't want him to start yelling especially in front of our children.

Yes, a needle will give a bruise like that and sometimes they don't come up immediately. I had been stung by a wasp once and the spot get red and sort of raised up. I would hold off calling his probation officer but for now keep an eye on him. If your husband is back to shooting drugs, you will see more marks near a vein. Also it's a red flag if he's always short on cash and/or more valuables go missing. I know this must be upsetting for you to think he's relapsed with so much at stake. Take care. <3

Thanks, I will keep an eye on him. But I'm worried because of his living arrangements. He has to stay at his grandparents because of where his po is located. And things happened where I'm staying with my parents and he's not allowed to live there. I'm working as much as I can on my own for our three kids. He works but all his money has been going to his fines so he says. Im concerned that if I don't notify his po now he will end up stealing from his grandparents (again) and if he breaks one more violation he goes to prison for 5 years. I noticed he had been taking an over the counter drug called Kratom which threw up warning signs for me. Tried not to worry about that until I came to this forum and seen some people posting about it. He has an addictive personality that's been his downfall with drugs. I'll look over his arms unsuspiciouly once he comes to visit us over the weekend. How long does HR stay in your system? I have a feeling I may need to contact his po even though I don't really want to
