need help on opium situation in golden triangle

i already posted this question in drug basics forum, but couldn't get the replies i was looking for. so i will ask U the xperts from the other drug forum insted. i will be goin' to Thailand very soon, and while there i would like to explore smokin' some opium i'm thinking of signing up for a trekking tour that will take u to the Hmong-Mien hill tribes where they offer u a chance to smoke. i heard the Thai gov. is pretty lax about the tribesmen offerin' some smoke to tourists as long as it's kept within the villege. is this true? or is it another BS info.!? i could really use some intel bout this topic. thanxx a bunch!

i dont know much about thailand, but ive heard its easy to get into dens all over asia- just pay a somewhat trustyworthy local acquantance to take you to one. a friend of mine was in one in hong kong when it got raided- funny thinking of him, about 6 foot 4, blond, trying to crouch down and blend in with the crowd rushing into the street, all doped out.

Crane..there's an old saying in Thailand....Smoke with the tribe,get twenty five(as in years in prison. Be smart, do your smoking in the states.

Yes they are very lax mate as long as you do not try to move drugs around. Taking drugs is fine just don't carry them long distance. I was there a couple of years ago so you may want to wait for more up to date info.
