I have never posted so I hope I'm doing this right. I have been smoking tar heroin for atleast six months, and I am going to kick in a week or so. I have about thirty valium, and access to 8 suboxone, and also have about thirty clonidine. Could someone help me come up with some kind of plan to kick? I can take a two maybe three days off of work, but I am extremely anxious about wds. I have tried suboxone one time, took it too soon (about 12 to 14 hours after smoking) and now I am scared shitless of the stuff. Any advice as to the best way/lease painful way to go about this?

I have heard people using kratom to help get off of tar. Could be wrong though. Im sure other people will have better advice.

Kratom.. subs..
Idk about subs though, that's just another opioid like substance, with longer withdrawals.

I smoked Oxy for a long time. I quit it cold turkey, with just Xanax and weed. It's tough man, but you can do it. You really have to want to do it though. In the midst of my addiction, everything was going fine.. then one day I just said "I'm fucking quitting", and that was the end of it. It's hard, you just have to realize you're better than that, don't let something unintelligent dictate your life. To me, that was an insult to my intelligence and my ego. Alcohol helps too.

Buprenorphine, brand name Suboxone (subs), is a low level opioid that binds (harder) to the mu receptor (same receptor other opiates/oids bind to) to prevent withdrawal and block any other opiates from binding to the receptor. Which means if you are on a suboxone regimen and you attempt to take any other opiate/oid it shouldn't work.

Oh I really want to quit, believe me. I had a rough year last year, but now I have a new business which is booming, a new house, a new girl.. the only thing bringing it down is this damn h addiction. It eats all my money and all my energy... I'm afraid ill lose everything if I don't get this out of my system

As far as cold turkey goes... I really hope that's not the best option. I have tried to kick a few times.. after 24 hour ct I thought I was going to die. The other two times, I took suboxone too early and that was even worse. I have had some advice about tapering off suboxone in a week or so.. I definately refuse to start any maintainence meds

Na cold turkey isn't the best option cause it can be dangerous. I'd suggest order 112 grams of bali kratom online (which doesn't cost that much at all) and that should be enough for withdrawals, and it's known as a non physically addicting substance so I'd look in to it. However, I felt like i kind of needed to feel the withdrawals to make me realize that I never wanted to be on that stuff again. I wouldn't take subs tho, I'd take Kratom for withdrawals before subs if I were you. And honestly, I've taken Kratom for a week straight before with no withdrawals, and I swear it feels just like an opiate high if you take enough, like I was nodding out more than I had ever on Oxy.. and I use to dose Oxy largely lol (maybe cause Oxy is more stimulating).

Although I do agree that kratom can help ease withdrawals for someone who does not have any of the other medical opioid options available (soboxone/methadone), it can become a habit itself and many have found it to be just as physically addictive as other opiates/oids. So to reiterate kratom has the potential to be physically addictive.

Is cold turkey really truly dangerous? I thought it's safe unless you have some kind of heart condition.

I don't believe so. Certainly not dangerous like jumping off benzodiazepines or alcohol cold turkey.

While withdrawal is not directly fatal, there are cases of addicts dying during the withdrawal period. This usually happens when addicts allow their bodies to fall into a state of poor health, so that the throes of withdrawal destabilize the body even further, leaving the addict open to infections and other complications. Other addicts fail to keep themselves properly hydrated during the withdrawal process, leading to potentially fatal electrolyte disturbances.

I quit cold turkey about a month ago. Then I got the Vivitrol shot and I don't know if it's all in my head or what (I guess it doesn't really matter) but I haven't had any cravings or anything since then. Something to look into maybe.

I myself am tapering with suboxone very rapidly after a 400mg/day IV morphine habit. Sounds like to me you've got a lot of great tools to help you quit. With suboxone remember to make sure you're in FULL withdrawal before taking ANY sub because you'll go into precipitated withdrawal which is not fun obviously.
With suboxone, less is more, start off small, 2mgs tops, what I recommend is to take the subs, if they're 8's cut them into 4, start off with 2mgs, if you don't go into precipitated withdrawal, take more to get a balance, then start immediatly tapering. The heroine is going to leave your system in what? 5 days tops? So the most suboxone taken should be in that period, after that you don't need it, taper down. I'm on day 5 of being on suboxone, and i'm down to 2 mgs. It's hurting a little bit, but it's worth it to me because I want to have a brain functioning off all opiates altogether.
If you use the suboxone properly, I'd save most of the clonidine and vallium for when you jump off the subs, because on the subs you won't be in that bad of shape. If you manage to do a rapid sub taper properly, hell it might be the only thing you need.
Remember that 4 mgs is usually enough to cover just about any habit, anything more than that is just a waste.
Lets see you're working with 8 8's lets say, so day 1 into withdrawal start off at 2mgs/quarter of the pill, if you don't feel any better, i wouldnt really take more, that what my mistake was when I went into PWs, I thought I wasn't taking enough but really I fucked myself for 2 days. If you feel a little better but still on edge, go ahead take 4 more mgs for your first day.
After that, you'll have lets see....29 2 mg peices. Thats perfect for a rapid taper I'd do this
Day 2: 4 27 pcs
Day 3: 4 25 pcs
Day 4: 4 22 pcs
Day 5: 2 21 pcs
Day 6: 2 20 pcs
Day 7: 2 19 pcs
Day 8: 2 18 pcs
Day 9: 1 17.5 pcs
Day 10: 2 16.5 pcs
Day 11: 1 16 pcs
Day 12: 2 15 pcs
Day 13: 1 15.5 pcs
Day 14: 1 15 pcs
Day 12: 1 14.5 pcs
Day 13: .5 (keep up the .5s for a couple days if you need to but I'm jumping at this point.)
Now, the kratom idea is pretty good, I'm going to actually order a little but for after I hop off, I've had friends who have jumped off at 2 mgs and were fine, because they did a shorter taper. You've got some awesome tools to quit, I hope I gave you an alright idea of how to utilize the suboxone. LESS IS MOAR! :P
I only take subs, ibuprofen and pot, the first few days were a bit rough, but nothing I couldn't handle. Congrats on trying to quit :D
