NC man ‘turns straight,’ murders gay roommate with ax and shotgun, blames Mucinex

I like the above link, all the blame gets put right on the 'marihuana' drugged cigarettes.

Let's say just for arguments sake that we live in Morastan, a country I rule and all drugs are legal! In Morastan there are 1,000,000 people. 10% of that population uses 'marihuana', and another 1% are psychotic madmen/women that will kill people for having the wrong look on their face. That being said, in my beloved Morastan:

If my math is correct, which it never is, .1% of my population will be psychotic people who also abuse drugs that are prone to violent crime, or 1,000 people.

It's easy to blame drugs when that's the campaign you're running.

Definitely something wrong with him, you don't just turn straight, plus he probably moved in with this guy because they had a relationship or something, must of been mentally ill, I never got any thoughts of something like this on DXM, so I'd say he definitely has underlying problems. His probably felt guilty about his sexual orientation too and that could of messed with him.
 
Yea it's without question that he was really messed up when it came to knowing his sexual orientation. It's likely that he came from a family where Homo/Bisexuality is seen as "The Devil's Work!!!" and it was drilled into him from a young age. I mean, Texas? A great deal of heavy Bible-Belt-Bizniz goes on there...
I'm not suggesting that non of this was his fault, but I cannot help but feel sorry for him in part due to the likelihood of his fucked-up upbringing :( Couple that with substance abuse and everything else... The guy's bound to be completely confused as to what to believe in, what's right / wrong etc. :|

We humans all have the ability to give in to our "dark side" and, ultimately, it consumes some people. We're a fucking mess of a species to be frank :\

Anyone else get deja-vu reading this. IIRC, there was another case very similar to this in 2004 or 2005. I think the story I remember reading seemed to ammount to two guys on coricidin, one makes an unwanted advances on the other and was killed with a hammer. I'll have to try to locate the article later today. Its 5:30 am and I'm going to bed...
 
"I may have brutally murdered someone and mutilated their corpse, but, officer, I am NOT GAY! YESSS!" Hmm, he certainly has his priorities straight. I hope he's charged with a hate crime on top of first degree murder, abuse of a corpse, and he never gets out of prison. BTW, I've taken dxm hundreds of times over the course of 10+ years, and I can say for sure that I've never once wanted to murder someone. I am too frightened of the concept to even think about it when I am tripping.
 
everything about this makes me sad. a life taken,brutally. a sick kid struggling with sexuality,drugs and who knows what kind of mental illnesses. people who think a prison is a better place for this kid rather than a mental institution. not a judgement,just an observation and my personal opinion.
just sad.
the one positive thing truly is the 911 operator. i had a friend who had that job for less than a month bc she said it was just so heartbreaking. it is an important job and i am grateful that there are ppl out there willing and able to do it.

DXM will never get banned. It is a cash cow for pharma. Alcohol can cause nutcases to lower their inhibitions to murder as well ... if the dude had gotten drunk before doing this then nobody would be talking about re-enacting prohibition.
 
There is no way DXM is going to get banned or even put in the same schedule as OTC codeine in Canada i wouldnt say. I remember when DXM first hit the media spotlight big in the US and to a smaller extent Canada but over the past few years that has died down alot. I blame the fact that cough syrup that has been around in one form or another since what the 50's? is just not as exciting as all this talk about mephedrone and bath salts and legal weed. So i doubt very much if dextromethorphan will ever be banned or anything.

Mucinex was the last of this guys problems. He is obviously very fucked in the head and just was probably a ticking time bomb. Maybe he went through one of those religious homosexual rehab places where you turn a person straight and thats what fucked him up :D . Lol you can no more suddenly turn straight then you can suddenly turn gay.

Guy needs to be atleast locked away in a psych ward where he can't hurt anyone.

tradition didn't keep any other drug legal. it's about the money, and who is paying the people who illegalize the drugs.

you can realize you're straight after experimenting, you can realize you're gay or straight at that age, and in this case the guy might have been in an abusive relationship which helped bring about the murder-which also could affect how you identify yourself sexually.
