Natural Opiate Tolerance?

Is there such a thing as a natural tolerance to opiates?

Suboxone is fairly big around the area i live (recreational use), so I decided to try some. The first dose was just 1/4 of an 8mg pill insufflated, I did not notice any effects. A few weeks later I tried it a second time, this time a dissolved half of an 8mg strip under my tongue, again no effects were noted. The third time I dissolved a whole 8mg strip, this time a felt something. I did not feel anything at first, but I was a bit anxious so I was smoking cigarettes pretty quick. After a few cigarettes in quick succession I noticed that my mood had lifted a bit, I was a little happier. The only way that I was able to feel the effect was to keep smoking. On the forth try I decided that I must have some natural tolerance and threw caution to the wind. I dissolved two 8mg strips and snorted 1/2 of an 8mg pill. This time I felt a decent lift in my mood, and my body felt light and relaxed.

I don't know what is going on with me and opiates, I have never really done them. The few times that I have tried other opiates I've felt nothing. Is there such a thing as a natural tolerance?

You're blowing past the rec doses of bupe, even at 2mg. Try .5-1mg.

More so - use a full-agonist opioid such as hydromorphone or oxycodone. Blows bupe out of the water. Bupe is useful for habit maintenance, spending less, and not being on a full-agonist. For recreational purposes, it's not choice.

Usually a bad idea for many (and keep doses low) but I'll add up to 1.5mg/day of clonazepam to the mix. Along with weed it makes for a satisfactory day (however nothing like if I had some roxy 30's..)

Yes i'm sure that it was suboxone, I did it with my now ex-gf that was on suboxone. I opened the strips myself and the pill was the standard orange hexagon with the sword.

I myself have very high natural tolerance i've found. I use opis occasionally, but i've tried a HUGE variety of them (morphine, fent, oxy, dhc, heroin, hydromorph, etc.) and with all of them I have to take much larger doses than most others do. I have also never properly nodded, the one time I did I was very sketch because I thought I was ODing from the doses I would do.

Not sure what exactly causes this, though. Bupe/suboxone isn't your typical opiate, so you may have to try some others to ascertain whether or not they're working properly for you. If it turns out indeed you do have high tolerance, it can be worth using potentiators, stuff like sedating antihistamines, DXM, metabolism inhibitors, etc.

That sounds about like my experience, I have not tried a whole lot of opiates. The one's I have tried are, Vicodin, Percocet and Dilaudid. I have never felt anything with Percocet or Vicodin, Dilaudid gave me a bit of a relaxed feeling.
