surely working out on an empty stomach is the best way to maximise growth hormone release?
Also if fasting promotes growth hormone release surely it's better to eat less food? So why do bodybuilders eat so much? Obviously insulin and test raise with more food being eaten but growth hormone is the most powerful muscle building and fat burning hormone.

I just dont see why you have to eat so much in order to grow

This is just wrong.

Muscle is made up of protein and water- you need enough excess of these to build muscle.

If the body just added shitloads of muscle for no reason then lots of animals/humans would have such a hideous ammount of mass that they couldn't move their huge muscles.

Now go and eat something.....
 
^I know squats and deadlifts are hailed as the exercises that cause the greatest gh release, but for some reason, I seem to recall that the dose released is nowhere near what one would ingest for optimal effects.
 
Yes as stated above exercizes like squats and deadlifts release more free testosterone and gh but the amount is very minimal compared to what you would inject on a cycle. Hgh for most people is best for leaning out. I dont know about people with way too much money (pro athletes) who use 10-20iu's a day but for a normal person such as my self i only used 3 iu's a day while i was on test and it got me ripped.. not much bigger but leaner and it also seemed like my muscle bellys were fuller. but at such low levels i believe it does not serve much a point other to lean out unlless you can afford thousnds of dollars to use that much daily like athletes, maybe then you will get gains in size like some people claim.

Naturally you will never release anywhere near the same levels of HGH as if you administer externally. Same with IGF- you inject something like 10-20 times as much as would naturally be released.
 
even still,

excessive excerice in the long run is going to make you look younger so im all for looking lean and young rather than big and ugly.

I know too much excercise decreases test levels, but obviously the more excercise the more you release growth hormone (obviously a small amount compared to injecting hgh) thus will make you look better overall in the long run.

So ok you wont get big from it, but surely it will make you look younger, healthier etc

I think the principle to stick to is getting to a predetermined weight (I wanna be about 185-190) and about 7% bf. Thats what looks best and healthiest.

Eating good quality decent foods (especially good fats) will make your skin and body look great.

I don't think chasing GH release is a holy-grail. Even people with low natural ammounts of GH can still look great if their training and diet is good.

If your stomach is empty then your brain can tell from blood sugar and CCK levels (amongst other inidicators)... so if you have no food in your stomach, why would your brain want to release GH when there are no "bricks" to build with? If it worked like that you would shrink away like that dude on Thinner.

GH is released at night first of all. And secondly, GH is only going to build muscle and burn fat when the body is in an anabolic state..,. an empty stomach is a catabolic state.

So ok you wont get big from it, but surely it will make you look younger, healthier etc

you'll look younger/healthy when your body is healthy... and running burns fats primarily via it's cardiovascular action which does not involve GH. GH stands for GROWTH hormone, remember?! :)
