I ain't gunna lie I missed you mofos. I had my major surgery done, jaw is mostly fixed, false bone implants etc, won't be getting in any fights any time soon to say the least, so MMA is done. Been clean off oppies for roughly 4 months, stopped keeping count. Been a real bitch gettin back to where I was at before the whole broken jaw mess and slingin' dope but life has been treatin' me well. Apparently I quit while I was ahead, enrolled as a double major at UNH for one more year till I get 2 degrees, and I now own my own 5 BR house as an independent.

Being an adult is like, bull shit man.

Smokin' an L right now. I hope the times have been treating you well?
 
I'mma try JB, ya'll are an entertaining group of individuals. We miss you all over in CD, so I might as well walk my ass over here if you guys promise to let me smoke blunts in the living room.

how long ago was your surgery? are you done with MMA for good? is it just a break out of necessity? DO YOU LIKE CAKE?!

Here's a not so flattering photo, I had my jaw pretty fucking broken in an MMA fight by an illegal grounded kick (my knees were on the ground, I got snap kicked and then kneed in the head, which is illegal in any devision) - anyway I don't really remember that shit, but the surgery for it was about the same time I quit oppies, so I'd say a little bit over 4 months. It blew quitting oppies while dealing with surgical pain but I emptied 2 tanks of hydromorphone IV in the hospital in 1 hour so I figured enough was enough.

I still hit the gym and the pads, but I won't be able to step back in the ring.

Life's been pretty good. I've also been clean from opes (with two small slip ups along the way that don't really count) since sometime in the beginning of April, lol I stopped keeping track too. It was right around the same time I got the new job that I have now. That's going really well too, can't complain. I hear you though- being a responsible adult sucks. I suppose its necessary though. Been drinking a lot more than I'd like to admit lately but for the last week or so I've been pretty good about it. I am in overall good health now as well, and anxiety is staying in check pretty well too.

Genuinely happy to hear that shit man, that's solid news, small improvements at a time is the best IMO glad that shit worked for you. It's a fucking stupid battle.

pride is dead, lol. zuffa played the cards and it is what it is, as much as it sucks.

but i get your point about the knee thing. pride's a diff beast though.

as amazing as pride was, with unified rules comes availability, which = amazing. pretty stoked about the FOX deal as well.

but hey man, it could be worse. as much it must have sucked, you can still live your life.

Not too much goin on tonight. I was going to leave tomorrow to go camping in Maine this weekend, but looks like a fucking large hurricane might mess everything up. In New England. That's right.
I'm just getting ready to go to bed because I'm going to go to work tomorrow I guess since I'm not leaving anymore, no fun for me today. Normally I would be wasted at 11:43 on a Wednesday (or any other night for that matter) but sadly I am 100% sober. May eat some Xanax before bed, we'll see.
