true story, the exit off I-35 that goes to Texas Motor speedway is called Dale Earnhardt way, when i was a kid (middle n high school) i always took my hat off to salute/mourn the greatest driver ever.

i have never watched a nascar race in my life. it acctually puzzles me how people find it entertaining. im sure being there and able to feel and hear the real power of the cars and the atmosphere would be fun but watching it on tv is hella lame.

I didn't watch the races much at that point, (when i was a little kid my mom and stepdad were big into nascar so I saw a bunch but I wasn't into it at all myself later in life) but for whatever reason i do remember seeing that race that day. It's ironic because there was this bad/huge pileup a little earlier in the race and nobody got really hurt, but later in the race dale hit the wall all on his own and died because of it. crazy shit
