fuck my uncle has 15 DUIs from like 4-5 different states over the course of 30+ years and he still has his license and he never has been to a state pen. he did loose his license for 10years at one point and he did spend a 10months in some county jail but thats it..i tell people all the time to shake his hand cause thats the only person you will ever meet with 15DUIs and has never been to prison and can still drive legally.

i do know thatr state farm insurance wont even insure anyone who lives in the same house as my uncle bc of the possibility he might drive the car. i had to fight when he was in jail and explain that he was locked up and that he wpouldnt be driving and they kept saying "yeah but its still his official address and thats what matters..if and when he gets out hes gonna return tto that address "..i know this bc i called and thats what i was told. but since this insurance agent has been a family friend for over 30years and is the insurerer for everything else (like thye house and i think life) that he put the paperwork threw and everyth8ing but warned me that the insurance might just get cancelled once the big wigs at corporate see it. but they never contacted us as far as i know
 
Yea thtat's crazy as fuck. My father got the lifetime ban on his driver lisence. Most people dont even know that can happen but they do it usually after the 5th or so serious driving offense. Every 5 years you go infront of a driving board type of thing, almost like a parole board i think is what he said.

Even with a lifetime revocation of driving privileges it is still possible to get a license. I know a guy that had to stay out of trouble for 10 years and jump through a bunch of hoops hire a lawyer and pay a lot of money. Had a breathalyzer for over a year in the car. After all that he got it back.
 
I forgot to add that my father did many prison sentences and some of the charges involved a vehicle, so 6 dui's and using vehicle in crimes and shit.
