Narcolepsy

[stimulants] are very effective for quite a few things and are relatively safe.

This is true in the short term, but in the long term, they tend to lose their effectiveness in treating most conditions, and their health-effects tend to be far worse than other types of medications.

Stims get ripped on way too much imo. They are very effective for quite a few things and are relatively safe. There's just a really big stigma because they're abused.

As ebola mentioned, your not thinking of the possible long term effects of this drug. I'm not talking about a year or two on an amphetamine. I'm talking many years, think twenty or thirty years. From the few I've seen who have been on amphetamines ( specifically dextroamphetamine) for many years, to say the least its pretty horrible.

2 years until the patent for modafinil expires, and you can bet that drug companies will pushing out their own generics. So go with like Vyanse for the next 2 years. Vyanse seems so much smoother and milder (even with the body load). But taking breaks from it every couple months would work wonders.

Unfortunately stimulants in the long run often result in some psychosis for a temporary amount of time.
