There have been some scattered posts about naphyrone here, and several threads on other BL forums. This thread is aimed at Australian users or would be users. Naphyrone has some possible health problems associated and as such deserves it's own thread. Naphyrone has been reported to be in some nrg1 products, although this has been disputed recently.

The following you tube video (originally posted in Advanced DD - thanks tript3r) illustrates the mechanism by which it is thought Naphyrone could be transformed into a carcinogenic metabolite. Well worth watching before deciding that this is a worthwhile and safe replacement for mephedrone.

Naphyrone - NRG-1 - Chemistry Behind The Headlines 2

Just for those whom are lazy and cant be assed clicking on a link:

Naphyrone is highly possible to be very dangerous; cancer causing.

Structurely it is alot more dangerous than mephedrone/meph/meow.

Also, based on user reports in the UK it can get messy.

BUT, please, if any aussies have had this. Please tell us the experience for the sake of harm reduction. If any new chemical needs harm reduction, its this.

Thanks for that link mate :) Knew these compounds were about to happen. Get ready for the rollercoaster of new research chems to come through... just know i wont be touching them with a 40ft pole!

Crankinit theres people out there that will bother with anything, one only has to read the trip reports section for datura on erowid to know that. I don't know why some people choose to use utter shite drugs despite better ones being available but it seems to happen all the time.

^ Because for some people good drugs aren't all that available?

The vasoconstrictive properties sound kinda... uncomfortable to me with this product. Someone just posted in OD about using this over 12 hours and experiencing some nasty side effects.

Seriously, this stuff has bruised my insides, loss of appetite, can't sleep, think i'm seeing things, paranoia and shakes. Naphyrone = Shit! Do not touch it with a barge pole!

There's many other chemicals that I'm interested in trying well before going anywhere near this shit.

The sooner I disclose such substances, the sooner they will be gobbled up by every kid on the block, so I'm keeping them close to my chest until I hear of more widespread use.

Weren't some NRG-1 products found to contain good 'ol pee vee (MDPV) and not naphyrone at all? That's pretty dodgy, but what more can you expect from vendors that are stocked to the hills with products like MDPV and don't give a shit about you or me :\

There are some interesting chemicals coming to light at the moment and this is only going to continue.

They will practically have to legalize something well known because there's no way the laws can keep up with so much rapid change on the research chemical market...

Gigity =D

Good thread P_D, I'm sure we'll hear a lot more about this one in coming months.

Here is the table of results from that study you mentioned.
