Naphyrone ban in the UK (including naphthylpyrovalerone analogues)

oh but there is always NRG-3 and NRG-4! :|

actually surprised benzo-fury 6-APB isn't included, the amount of HYPE surrounding this product.

No surprise here, a quick check of google news reveals that its not mentioned at all in the media, and even if it was the ACMD still has to carry out their "research" into the harms of the compound (in quotation marks as their "research" is a joke, they proclaimed naphyrone was 10 times more potent than cocaine) and I think next on their agenda is to "research" the harms of MDAI (which the media have started to latch onto).

I am suprised really, what with meph hitting such high publicity in the UK - a bluelight account alone is all that is needed. worrying times:\

pfft, im glad to see the ban on meph and this tbh. am i right in thinking that butylone was excluded from previous bans? i think the majority of pills are dmaa based still in the uk? i know some of the butylone pills were quite popular put they seem to have disappeared.

I'm don't think banning any of them really helps.
If Mephedrone and this Naphyrone shit are both class B then who in their right mind is going to risk having such shit when you can get Cocaine and Heroin for a slightly worse punishment?

tvas nope butylone and more annoyingly (to me anyway) methylone went with the mephedrone legislation.

ah, gutted. i knew methylone had gone but i just wasn't sure about butylone.

x89, banning drugs in general doesn't help i agree. but i think that when the majority of recreational substances are banned, allowing for what are often more toxic substitutes to be legal pushes the people who want to experiment to try these unknown research chemicals. I would prefer either a situation in which all drugs where banned but still available, or all drugs are legalized. At least people in these two situations would probably opt for taking drugs that have been "tried and tested" as it were.

Because UK cocaine is cut to fuck and heroin is highly addictive? But the meph kids are gonna snort SOMETHING, the genie is out of the bottle on that.

Err what?

But yeah, banning does not help. (Because the truth is it won't do shit to those who are motivated to still import and new and sometimes fiendish chemicals are being pumped out at a decent pace.)

Was it even naphyrone which had those unpleasant/dangerous effects in NRG consumers?

I read that only one of 17 samples labeled NRG-x contained nahyrone after analyzing them.

^ yes, which explains why there's such a huge variance in the subjective effects reported by users.
