I would just like to ask opinion/thoughts about getting the need to get tested.

I had protected sex (w/ condoms) with a girl who uses heroin daily. She has her own personal equipment. She was the one who said that she wanted me to use condoms when we do it and she uses her equipment personally and not sharing it with anyone. We only had sex three times 5/26/15, 6/1/15 and 6/6/15.

I did not get any BJ, nor did I do cunnilingus to her, no fingering, she didnt have any open wounds in her face, just few acne scars. No open sores in the mouth nor active bleeding.

The only thing that kinda bothers me is that we kissed during 6/1/15 and she was really into me during that time. I told my story to my friend and he wanted me to get checked ASAP so it made me paranoid.

I am a healthcare professional but I only had sex with this person because I personally felt down at 5/26/15 due to prolonged problem with my GF. I'm not planning to do it again, so I'm asking second opinion if should I get tested as soon as possible for STD/HIV etc

I can get more into details if you guys need

It's very unlikely you caught anything since you wore a condom. But yes, yes, a billion times yes, go get tested. It'll put your mind to ease and remember condoms are only 99% effective so yuo do need to get yourself to a clinic asap. Please keep us posted - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you :(

I'm confused. Do you think heroin just has STIs in it? I mean, being a heroin addict is not a good thing, but it doesn't automatically mean she's diseased.

HIV transmission is very unlikely under the circumstances you describe, same for the more common and treatable stuff (syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia). If she has oral HSV then there's a chance of that being transmitted by kissing, but lots of people have one or both strains of HSV irrespective of drug use or other lifestyle factors. Possibly similar situation for HPV - jury's still out on oral-oral transmission there though.
I would expect a healthcare professional to know this stuff, and also that it generally takes a few weeks or months post-exposure for an HIV test to show up positive.

Since you are worried get tested for HIV and other STDs. You probably do not have them but you are worried about possible infection/transmission and this will put your mind at ease.

Even if the woman does happen to be HIV+ and is into sharing IVs-as the majority of IV drug users have done this at one point or another-you probably would not get infected with HIV if you used a condom, it didn't break, and you had sex the way you described. But for your own peace of mind see a doctor or medical professional, ask questions, and get tested.

@apatheist: yes I am very aware that there is a very very low chance. It's just that my friend made me a little paranoid last night. I've seen signs and symptoms of HSV1 and HSV2, even HPV from other patients when i was a student and she didn't have those. and so far I havent experienced any noticeable s/sx of any infection or if there's something wrong in my body. what's bugging me a little bit is that me and my GF are going to meet again in a few weeks. when we have sex we do it raw and I always cum inside her since she's on nexplanon (3yr birth control subcutaneous stick med). I just don't know how to get this off from my mind.

If someone only uses clean needles then I don't see any issue.

I've only used clean needles, sexual health clinic still tested me for hepc on top of all the usual stuff when I told them, nothings more certain than being tested.

In a way this is kinda silly to even ask.. we aren't going to know the answer any better than you do.

Asking questions about getting tested for an std while you aren't showing symptoms AND used a condom is almost as bad ask asking "what was in my ecstasy pill".
Just do the damn test if you're paranoid. What better answer can we POSSIBLY give you?

Healthcare professional..? Maybe you should ask a doctor next time you go to work...
