Show me the real world
The tragedies of lost souls
The burden of sorrow
Show me the ideal
The triumph of unity
The joy of pure love
Help me in this quest
To shift the real to ideal
To better our world
Help me show the world
And open its shut eyelids
To a ray of hope
We must all keep hope
For in darkest of shadows
There is a light

Alas, this haiku series was inspired by both the gripping dark side of reality shown to me here, my newly acquired sense of faith and optimism in life, and this board's unity as a "family." Together, we can expand and make this happen on a grander scale, even if it takes forever, and even if it drives us to the brink of desparation and hopelessness. We must all realize that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how small, or how far away seems.
