Hey all, at the moment i use : 20 mg Ritalin , 100-200 mg Caffeine (redbull or coffee), and quite a bunch of Vitamin C in order to study more efficiently (i'm in 1st year of a maths/physics/programming course so i definitely see the advantages of stimulants on pure logic/reason) ... and later i'm considering adding to this : Piracetam, maybe 5-Htp , galantamine/choline (actually those last nootropics also attracted me for lucid dreaming training ) .. (Side note : I smoke a few cannabis joints every evening too, and my other "harder" drug usages are not daily )

Is there any long term disavantage of using those substances chronically ? (Should i or not make breaks of a few months, etc.. ? ) The only thing i see at first glance is slight cardiotoxicity but i may be unaware of other side effects... Thanks in advance :)

ditch the caffeine, it is a shitty stim compared to methylphenidate aka Ritalin. long term usage of ritalin includes tolerance to effects, and desensitization of receptors. in addition, taking ritalin for long periods of time puts you at risk for psychological/physical dependency.

...remember to take breaks in between doses. atleast wait 1-2days at minimum ... keep taking vitaimins, they are good for your body and your brain,

Thx for the feedback,

hiltoniano> it's a matter of tolerance, i could only stand caffeine 2 months after having started ritalin.

LaCster, i'd say caffeine is a less controlable stimulant in comparison with methylphenidate but both have their own pros and i guess i'll have to take it easy indeed.
