my seeking eye

I sought to see infinity
I made a small device
I got myself two mirrors
and placed them face to face

I found myself confounded when
to my profound dismay
no matter where my point of view
infinity turned away

I had my revelation when
I made a hole through which to spy
the point I sought to see turned out
to be my seeking eye
