A better way,better way,
got all hopes up waitin for a better day.
I look to God,all I say is in all I pray,
hopin he can lead me through this dismay.
Ive had to watch this thin line frey,
and keep ahead,instead of bein prey.
Its a cruel world w/ a real lesson,
cant fall victim or waste this blessin.
Winter cold only makes my bones feel old,
ponderin whats true in all ive been told.
This whole lifestyle is a tri-fold,
even though weakened, gotta be bold.
There are so many chances,
to make a turn as life enhances.
and even though sometimes locked in fantasy,
I still hold close to me what has to be.
Exactly what it takes to be politically free,
and roads to escape life's complexity.
But the sun is gone,
and somebody stole my light,
the day is done,
and the sun never got bright.
and that is why i feel dumb..,
is cuz i try to stay happy,
even though love made me numb,
i'll try to be happy,
cuz i think i like to be happy.
maybe just happy,
you make me happy.....Peace

Having your light put out by someone you love is the worst type of darkness to experience. It makes it almost impossible to let another person bring new light to our lives...
we have to do it for ourselves, be our own light and our own happiness
