I went cold turkey on 400 mg of meth-- and the w/d didn't start for a week.
This guy's gonna get one good lesson, like it or not -- and it's too late for him to turn back now. he's already alienated the clinic -- in a month, the counselor he pissed off will still have her job and he'll be one sick junkie.
But I understand sick junkies because I am one too. If I were this guy, I would just go back to oxies now -- if he could get enough to not get sick. But it's gonna take A LOT of oxies to overside even 100 mg of methadone. and he's coming off so quick that he's still gonna have that tolerance whenever his "detox" ends, which I predict will be soon
Friend, maybe it's not too late to admit your mistake, go back to your clinic and get back on your dose.... Maybe the clinic is more compassionate than you think and they'll reverse this.
You are making a terrible mistake.
Having said that, though, I have made worse and more stupid mistakes. We all have at one time or another thought that we were stronger than the drugs....we always have to learn the same lessons over and over again. nobody can tell us anything until WE LEARN THE HARD WAY --
that's me, anyway.
Save you this journal for down the road -- in case you ever get an other great idea like doing a 20 mg at a time detox just to spite the clinic -- you think the clinic cares?
Anyway, I wish you luck, and if you can't do it, since you have involved us with this thread, at least have the balls to come back here and FINISH IT if you have to either:
1) do something even MORE silly and dangerous things to avoid your addiction and w/d or
2) you have a moment of clarity, realize you're immaturity and decide to take responsibility for your own treatment and recovery.
or if you succeed and go on to be a drug counselor!!
And this comes from someone who has also done a lot of number 1 and very little of number 2 --- I guess I just see myself in your post -- only I would just DO IT and not tell anybody. I just don't think you know how wrong you are yet...or you wouldnt be spreading your stupidity around so openly and blatantly....
but seriously, good luck. lets hope you're just "writing another chapter"

PS.
I may use a little 12-step slang, but i hate those meetings and I'm not in "recovery" because of my own personal resentments and issues--- but that's another post..
