My heart is still racing 12 hours after ephedrine

i took 2 tablets of ephedrine (i beleive they are 30mg tablets) at 10pm last night then another 3 at 2am. It is now 4pm next day & my heart is still racing 120bpm. i usually take ghb when im out as well as ephedrine but last night i only had the ephedrine. I couldnt sleep so i had a 20mg tamazepan & slept for approx 3hours but woke up at 4pm with my heart still racing. Why is my heart like this still after 12 hours? I also feel really stiff & muscles hurt. Any advice greatly appreciated.
 
I was going to suggest "don't do ephedrine," but I decided not to, someone else will.

ive always done ephedrine & never had any effects off it like this. It has certainly put me off doing it again!
That doesnt solve my problem at the moment tho, my heart is still racing (it is now 15 hours after i took it) , im scared & dont know what to do so please, if anyone is gonna be able to give me advice, dont tell me not to do ephedrine!
 
I've experienced similar with methylphenidate long ago. It'll slowly start to get better soon.
 
I've noticed the same problem when I'm on stimulants...my heart won't really be racing during the period they're supposed to affect me...however, sometimes even the next day my heart is going crazy. Just taking it easy, trying not to do anything really physically exerting, and making sure not to plunge into a panic attack is usually best. If you can, try to be around some people who've done ephedrine as well, it's usually less worrisome than surrounding yourself with anti-drug people or just being alone. Plus, if you're not still getting the "awake" effects, try lying down and going to sleep. My heart usually calms down after I've gotten some sleep, even if it's only 2 hours.
 
Thanks for your advice. Im still in the 'awake' phase i think. I usually have a couple of caps of ghb to sleep with after clubbing but had a bad experience on it the other day so am reluctant to do that.
 
This happens worst with non-amphetamine-type stimulants, what I consider 'dirty' stimulants ;) Funny how they're weaker, too. Seems like a no-win situation.
 
Ephedrine's a nasty drug. I've only had a few experiences with it and I will never touch the stuff again! Horrible stuff.
