My gf on DXM 40mg first time exp

I gave my gf who never used anything and weights around 41kg tabs of pure DXM hbr. I gave her 40 mg.

After 30 mins she started crying and said she is feeling bad about some home problems.
After that I gave her to listen to music, she said it's too loud, though it was 50% of volume, but eventually said that she enjoys the music slightly better than normal. She calmed down, but said she feeling "drunk".
The trip lasted about 5 hours and overall was slightly negative. She didn't take any meds.

Did it happen because I gave her that small dose? And if I'll give 80mg she should try to feel some euphoria and enjoy the trip? (I doubt I can convince her to take more than that after that experience).

Or her reaction showed that she is not going to enjoy DXM at any dosages?

1/3 of people love it, 1/3 are just kind of indiffferent, and the other 1/3 hate it....

Really if 40mg is enough to have her crying i wouldn't go much farther.... seriously i take at least 30-40 for a mild cough.... yea she weights 30kg less than me but thats just a little past "theraputic" amounts.....

but also to be fair, if it was only 30min after her feeling bad had nothing to do with the drugs.... DXM has to be metabolised by the body before you really get high and that takes along the lines of up to a couple of hours...

Why DXM? dissacociatives are not really a good starting point if your introducing someone to the world of drugs.... im not going to say its a kidiot drug, there is a lot of potential to fuck your world up with it, the thing is that there really are in my opinion far better drugs to be doing than cough syrup...

If i had to pick any tryptamine of PEA to give to someone for their first time doing anything crazy it would definitely be MDMA.... 75mg tested MDMA with advanced warning of "your going to feel nothing for 45 minutes to an hour but when you do feel finally feel something, sit down for the next 10 minutes"....

That is the only thing that i can think of with someone that would have to potential to scare a person at first.... You eat some drugs, 45 minutes later a strange feeling in your stomach. and over the course of the next 10 minutes your rocketing towards euphoria on levels you never thought possible.... And that is why i say there are far better drugs than DXM....

Well, I had pure tabs, not syrop.
Yet, she cried relatively fast, but it was kind of unusual, she never cried before about anything. It really looked that DXM affected her.
I agree with most of your points.
MDMA would be perfect but I'm now traveling in Philippines and it's really difficult to get it here.

If she had such a powerful reaction to 40mg she may have an enzyme deficiency. People who are inexperienced with dxm are advised to take ~50mg to test for the deficiency and it sounds to me like she failed the test.

i bet she felt guilty for using drugs and it put a negative spin on other things that have been on her mind lately. i highly doubt even an enzyme deficient person would get appreciable effects from a mere 40mg... which is a medicinal dose.

Yes, I thought if she would have enzyme deficient she would probably experience strong trip. Enzyme defiency will not cause bad trip, just make it stronger, that's what I understand.
But she said the music enhanced just barely, though she said she feels drunk and not happy, the volume sounded for how too loud. But once talking to her in nice way and adjusting the volume, she kinda a little bit enjoyed it.
Oh, and we made a good love. She enjoyed about 40% more than normally she would.
