After all my failings in trying to pursue a scientific education and career I know I have failed myself more than circumstance and the education system have yet they do play a small part.

After finding a partner and being unemployed for a while I remembered that I always wanted to study the sciences and I can't just be a minimum wage worker, it's not in me to do that. So I found a course in college which will only take a year and I will be able to access Uni right after I finish. I decided to take the Uni course studying Neuro-sciences as my ambitions drive me to study the workings of the human mind and the physiology of the nervous system. I feel that not only drugs needs to have much more research done on their benefits to society but also Dementia and Autism need more research done so we can better care for people effected.
So I think my chosen path will do good for society but most of all it will fulfill my greatest ambition, it will give me a chance at abolishing religion and spirituality from the face of the Earth or at least play a part in that happening.

I just wanted to announce that. :)

Thanks a lot Giog, I know it will be hard work and probably boring, although even though I have failed several time I have very much enjoyed studying the sciences, not so much physics but especially biology.
Also pursuing this will allow my partner and I to get a flat.

success will not allow you to escape the suffering of existence. it's just more stress really.

I deserve stress, I'm unemployed.
Money = stress free IMO, I have a trait that I have to get what I want when I want, also could do with a car at least; something I don't have also a house for me and my partner to live, not at his or my families house where we have to put up with authority, having his family round and them bringing their screaming brats round and having nothing to eat half the time.

Yep, success will not allow me to escape suffering, Buddhists say something like that, they also say that if your child is a transvestite then it's bad karma, being a powerful religion, people in Thailand end up disowning their children so I wouldn't listen to any buddhuist mantras as from that mistake I see them as an orthodox religion and a western FAD/ ego boost to think your part of it.

Haha that's motivational... Plenty of people actually enjoy learning
No really learning is the easy bit, it's course work that gets me lol I find presentations quite easy too :D

Do you guys not have any degrees?

i've got a phd in hustling and a third degree black belt in collecting welfare checks. guarantee i live better than anyone working 40-60 hours at retail or other shitty jobs and i only work 15 or so hours a week.

You're bragging about living well off of other people's money, you low life.

How do you think the government gets the money to pay you those welfare checks? They take it from people who work.

un-huh, I'm sure... I'm going to get into my brand fucking new GT-R and go buy me some 21 year old Cognac. Enjoy your bus pass and malt liquor, you fucking retard.

Also, the feeling of actually making a positive difference in the world is alot better then the feeling of "I'm a useless fuck and I'm like a proverbial liver fluke infesting and draining on society"

These guys are exactly right.
I'm pretty much unemployed and on the JSA but I hate it, I hated it so much at one point I just didn't bother with it but that meant I was living off of family without giving anything back to them.
The sheer number of people in the UK on JSA is unbelievable and the unemployed for uneducated people is crazily high like 3 million or something. Plus these people are not having very nice lives.
I think minimum wage work is below me, sorry to say but I'm not one for chatting about women, football and TV with the kind of men who are just totally trying to be everything masculine, I really can't deal with that and that's why I am taking the science route so that I can emigrate out the shite hole called the UK.
