As the pain floods my skin
I hold my breath
As the emotion sets in
Slowly fatigue takes over
It takes hold of my attention
I fight the urge to close my eyes
As my body looses sensation
My body is fighting
My mind is falling
My body gently quivers
As mind starts bawling
Troubled movements flicker
My mind starts screaming
I hold my breath until I wake
And then realise I'm not dreaming
I will live this daily struggle
But look and act the same
I will punish myself night and day
Even though I'm not to blame
