1. ode to salt

hail to the shaker of salt!
to the keeoer of things dry, a vault!
o sodium chloride,
preserver of things died,
live longly til exit
tumult!

2. untitled
if i was a teapot, would you be my cosy?
if i were a cheek, could you be my rosy?
if i was an elbow could you be my socket?
if you were a penny, would i be your pocket?
if i was a pot, could you be my pourri?
if i was a ham sandwhich, would you be my curie?
if i was some vegie, would you be my toast?
if you were a sunday, could i be your roast?
if i was a cloud, could you be my rain?
if you were my pleasure, would i be your pain?
if i was a kiss, would you be my cuddle?
if you were a teardrop, could i be your puddle?
if i am asleep will you be my snore?
if i was yours, i couldn't ask for any more.

3. untitled

the air grows thin, you cant breathe in,
your lungs are burning dry.
the cold creeps in, underneath your skin,
and you

die,die,die,die.
die, die, die, die.

you get choked up, your eyes well up,
like the overcast of night.
left alone
chills you to the bone,
and you

cry, cry, cry, cry.
cry, cry, cry, cry.

beauty born, from the things you saw, eternally
reminds,
of yesterday, come out and play, dont

hide, hide, hide, hide.
hide, hide, hide, hide.

in the afterglow, come say hello,
or just pass on by.
and so it goes,
the beast it grows,
but tonight will

lie, lie, lie, lie.
lie, lie, lie, lie.

slightly refreshing- entertaining, :D

and you said renovations, in reference to a poem, that was funny :)

its too easy to be bogged down in a swamp of poetic gloom - about death, the meaning of life and all the usual baggage. for the time being i like fun poems that dont neccessarily teach you anything, apart from to lighten up.

4. untitled

that freuds first slip was a lacy one,
means that with his theories there is much fun
to be had at the expense of oedipus,
breast feeding at 9, a familial kiss?
along came electra, paternally inclined,
then came her father,
and electra he lined!!
should the government resolve to freely associate,
we'd all turn into commies,
and they'd legalise rape!
make us communist christians,
and aids would not cost us a cent,
we'd gladly craft our own coffins,
death being a celebrated end!

I like you. This is just so fun to read because, you know out of all the "life means this" "i had a terrible day" poems, stuff like this is what remains universal and satisfying to us all (or so at least I would like to think.)

YAY!

Dude!! That was so cool!!! :D

I really liked the first two as well, they were cute. :)

Didn't love the third one so much, but the others are hell awesome.. =D

yeah the third one as prose alone is pretty mediocre, but it was written as song lyrics, so when put to music, the inadequacies of the text are a little more concealed!
