Today when I went to test my pills, I notice some brown tint to it. I haven't used it for months because I've been testing it at my friends. The first couple of drops were brown and after that it was clear. The inside lid had some brown discolorations. Just wondering what's up?

Its normal. They tend to deterioate a little with age. Just try to keep it in a dark cool place. It will have little baring on the reaction itself however once the whole bottle gets dark and hasn't been used for a while the reaction can slow to be almost non existant.
The bottles are good for many many tests, but all in a row. If the tester is really old you may wish to replace it.

The first brown drops are the ones stuck in the plastic lid. If you haven't used it for a while, drop the first few drops in the sink until they become clear(er). As communicated in previous messages, the droppers are not great but they seem to work best when it comes to 'working' with the reagent (and eventually turning brown). Most droppers 'work' a little with the reagent over time. Storing upright is important too, that way the reagent in the bottle is not in contact with the dropper.
