Ok. I really hope people read and respond to this.

Stats: Female/5'5''/108lbs/18yrs

Drug(s) consumed: Cocaine(experienced 5 times)& alcohol(experienced many times)

Last weekend, at a party I drank and did some coke. Not too much of either, but enough to feel good. I felt a little nausiated on the come-down but that was all. The next night I went out again and drank(about 3 beers) and decided to do some cocaine at about 4 a.m. Now normally I do a few lines or bumps, probably around 3-5 small ones and get a little wired and talkative and stay up all night. This night I did one line and really felt it strong, more than usual, teeth numb and all. Throughout the next 3 or 4 hours I did an excessive amount(for me). I mean there was like three different people handing out free coke. I probably did the equavalent to 9 or 10 lines. Anyways, throughout the night(or morning) I felt higher than I ever had imagined I could on this drug. My teeth were clenched, numb gums and nose, my eyes couldn't really focus on anything for too long(sometimes I had to close them), and I could barely really talk. I mean I could talk, but I had no desire to. I noticed a couple of other people weren't talking for loong perods of time also. At one point, after doing one of my last lines, I felt waves of entire numbness come about my body. So, cut to going home(at about 8:30a.m) I'm starting to come down. I'm just laying in bed with my bf when I have trouble breating and I fell a little nauseous. The difficulty breathing intensifies and we both get worried. I notice that when I take deep breaths, I feel pain in my heart. By now I'm panting. Then, my hands start to tingle and it eventually creeps up my arms and to my face. My bf is taking my pulse, which is extremely high(like I ran a race he says). At some points I feel myself slipping into darkness, like I'm going to pass out and everything looks spotty. When this happens my bf shakes me. Apparently my pulse would be racing and then shoot down to lower than normal. I beg him not to call 911, so he calls some friends who try to help. Eventually I start to breathe normally and my pulse gets a little lower. For the next two days my heart is in a lot of pain. It felt like someone was squeezing it or I had surgery on it. I'm ok now. After my bf talked to some people who have done coke before, I was told that it happened to them too and they said it probably didn't help that I was scared and that I was probably hyperventalating myself. But it really felt physically difficult to breathe. My questions are, after this looong narration: Has this ever happened to you or anyone you know? Was I just hyperventalating or could I have OD'ed? Thanks for reading :) Any response is appreciated.

sounds like you took way too much, your a pretty small person and having 9-10lines would easilly strain your heart. it obviously wasnt a severe OD, but then again, anything more than a regular normal dose can be considered an OD...

it also sounds like you were doing much more purer coke than normal. Im not saying that you werent in serious trouble, but when coming down, your mind will really make things 10 times worse. have you recently been reading about what the symptoms of a heart attack are?

it definitely sounds like you did too much, and that the purity was higher than what you are used to (already been said). what you SHOULD have done though, is called 911. *never* hesitate to call them if you or anyone else is experiencing anything like the symptoms you described. they are not gonna come and bust you, they will simply try to help.

yeah you had some good coke. But i believe you panicked when you started coming down. Maybe had a minor anxiety attack triggered by the coke. Your mind can trigger your heart to pound faster. But yeah you probably had a little too much blow. Its hard to pass up free blow... or impossible.

ive never had anything like that happen as i was coming down but ive done so much that i about called an ambulance. i had my heart beating 22 times in 6 seconds and i was so nervous i was throwing up. i think it could have been ur nerves also because the symptoms u described are very similar to what happens to me when i start to make myself nervous. the shortness of breath, increased heart rate followed by it goin back down. Are u on any anxiety medicane or do u get anxiety attacks or get nervous of drugs easy? im not saying u didnt do to much coke that was probally a key factor in the incident but i really think ur nerves just kicked in and made it much worse than it was. but like day_for_night said dont hesitate to call 911 its better to live and get in a little trouble than to die because u didnt wanna call.

I get a similair reaction, though more intense when I bang coke. I always feel like I'm going to die, that's why I stopped doing it. But I did it so much before that now when I even THINK about crack or coke my heart starts beating faster and I become really anxious. Sort of like Pavlov's dogs, its strange.

Thanks for the responses:)
Brian-sublimaze-No, I hadn't been reading about heart attacks and my mind wasn't really in a negative place when it all started.

secwv80mg-The only drug I get anxiety on is marijuana. I have a great time on E and I've never had any kind of anxiety on coke before. Recently I had been taking elavil for depression and sleep, but I quit using that about a week before this happened.

And about calling 911, my bf's left hand was on my pulse and the right on the phone. We were seconds from calling a few times. At the time I did feel my life was in danger but our friends we called reassured us that things would probably be o.k.
