My DPT is purple... is this normal?

well it certainly has a nice trippy effect^^ btw i was unjustly banned from psychonaut! coz of that pea brain "TIAX"

I heard somewhere that purple color is caused by the powder being hydrated. Is this right?

I'm interested in hearing more about this, as I was debating with myself whether or not I should acquire some of this purple DPT. Does anyone know how to clean it up? Because I'm pretty wary of ingesting anything that's purple, even if it's trace amounts of impurities. So does anyone know if it can be washed with an easy to get solvent, or if recrystallization gets rid of the purple?
