My dog is getting clean

So my dog has been using opiates for 5 years. He has gathered somethings make his process easier. But I'd like explain what has, and get advice for him on the best way accomplish this...I'm green so please bear with me.

Start with just using I, instead of my dog, it doesn't protect you at all, and it's not allowed on bluelight.
