Right now my brother in law is dying in a hospital. He has MRSA/MSSA from running some bad crank/meth cut with epsom salts. His scrotum has swelled to the size of a basketball, his arms had been surgically debrided 4 times, they has drained 2 liters of fluid from one lung and are looking at putting another drain in the other one right now. His entire body has swollen to the point he looks like he would burst like a balloon; he doesn't even look human anymore. This has all taken place in a week now. His liver has shut down as well as his kidneys but there is a little bit of urine flow from the catheter they had to insert. If he survives this it will be a miracle. His parents have been at his bedside but he has no clue they are there.

If I had pictures of him now I would post them to try to discourage those out there from trying this bathtub crank crap some dumbass who got a recipe while in jail or off the internet decided to cook up in hopes of getting a buzz. I am not saying I have not visited the friendly tiger in times past, but at least I lived to learn from my mistakes. If it comes from a pharmacy, you have a chance. If it comes from some scumbag who has no last name you know of, well, you might as well kiss your loved ones goodbye before you do whatever crap they are peddling. After all, we all have free choice for good or ill.

I am really, really sorry to hear about your brother in law. Sounds like a nightmare for all concerned. <3

Hiya Avalzaunt,

I am so very sad to hear of what's happening with your brother in law. That is terrible and I really feel for you.
I'd say welcome to the forum, although I am deeply sorry of the circumstances that have brought you here.
And would like to thank you because even though you are going through this, you are coming here and telling us in the hope that it would save others from similar happening. That's very thoughtful and considerate of you.

You and your family are in my thoughts during this difficult time,
Evey

I was in hopital in the early ninety's with internal bleeding and a massive head injury to top it all off the ICU room was not sterile and to top it off I contracted MRSA the doctors gave me little to no hope of survival they kept me in a medically induced coma. I knew I had a fight on my hands but pulled through in the end. There is always hope hang in there. kind reguards.

So sorry OP :( sending some love to you and your family.

Well, he did survive but has no memory of the two weeks before he was admitted or of the four weeks in ICU. His wife confessed to the meth running after he was found with it in his system. And the swelling was caused by the fluid buildup having to go somewhere. They drained at least four liters just off his lungs. His arm is now only twice it's normal size with a wound running from his armpit past his elbow that has to be dressed and packed twice a day. He is lucky to have kept it. Thanks for all the best wishes.

I'm really happy that he survived--for all of you. Sounds like he still has a long journey ahead for total recuperation.
