My blood bank refuses to take my blood donations

I am on TRT (Testosterone Replacement).

However, for too long my Red Cross Blood Bank has randomly stopped letting me donate. WTF?

Was I too honest on their screening questionnaire? Should I have lied and said NO when they asked if I use injectable hormones? Was my honesty such a brutal sin?

Has anyone found a way around this (besides going to a hematologist?)

Yep you got yourself on the deferral list with red cross. Find another organization to donate to if able. If not, have your PCP/GP complete a script for therapeutic phlebotomy for you. I have standing orders for therapeutics for a year at a time with up to monthly donations as long as my hgb is over 11 (that's what my order is for). I keep myself around the 18-19 range by doing so.

How can I get on this "Deferral list"? PLEASE, it's very important!

TRT has been very helpful to my quality of life, and I don't want to be forced to stop it because of RED TAPE.

What's the secret to getting on this "Deferral list"?

I suspect the question on hormones is more aimed at illicit use by body builders, and it's just a simple safety thing because use of pins increases the chance of blood transferred conditions.

in the uk it seems we're a bit more sensible, the question asked is

"have injected non-prescribed drugs including body-building and injectable tanning agents. You may be able to give if a doctor prescribed the drugs".

bit dumb of the red cross to blanket reject, plenty of people are prescribed this kind of treatment legitimately!

I'm too hopeless and angry to even respond. God help me.
