my grades suck
i know that
we all know that
to get into a *good* college you need good grades, my grades are far from *good*. I am however very good with computers, may it be technical or graphic-related.
i'm just getting into DJing, and many of my friends DJ too... they have had tables for 1-2+ years now, and I am almost as good as them, this is my 4th month with mine.
I think im a natural when it comes to music, but i am beginning to think....
What will I do when I get out of school? My thoughts are to get a decent paying job, hopefully something not very labor intensive, and DJ on the side. DJ's make good money, so I think a few nights a month at a club/party can help pay the bills.
Yeah yeah, ofcourse i will spend money on drugs, doesn't every partier do that?
I'm just getting some bad vibes that if I continue down the road I am going I might not end up on the right side of the plate, you dig?
Is anyone else in my situation?
this post could be too cheeesy, but i could care less... just trying to get a hold on my life and other peoples opinions.

Hey man, not everyone wants or needs to go to college. I liked it, actually needed it for where I am headed, but not everyone does. It's a place to take what interests you and expand your mind, learn what YOU are all about. That's my take on it anyways, lots of people just go there to do pre-med, pre-law, business studies, etc...anyways.
If you are good with computers there are many, many programs at many, many technical colleges that can land you a well-paying job that (in this economy) would be fairly secure.
I have a couple of DJ friends myself and you should know - they tell me that most of the money made from gigs is spent on buying all the new records every week. So if you like it, do it by all means, but keep it as a "labor of love". Unless you really want to make it your whole life, don't expect it to be a major source of income.
About drugs, well...there are ways to party and do drugs that don't involve staying up all weekend, or doing E every weekend. Though no one would deny E is the best party drug, it only stays really good if u limit it to once or twice a month. So in a way it self-limits your spending money on it.

P.S. I think I might have flamed you in a thread in another forum. Funny how things turn out. I'm a nice guy, really!
