Hi, my first trip report. I hope you enjoy
there is not alot of info on this substance so i thought i would share my experience. Its rumored to be similar to ketamine but stronger, and longer duration. i would only say the duration is longer, but experience is different. see extract from wiki below:
Methoxetamine acts as a noncompetitive NMDA receptor antagonist and a serotonin reuptake inhibitor.[7] Furthermore, it has been shown to agonize dopamine D2, serotonin 5-HT2, muscarinic acetylcholinergic, sigma-1, opioid mu and kappa receptors (possibly not by the main compound itself but from active metabolites).
trip report:
t + 1.0min
approx 10mg taken. being the first time with this new, untested, no trials exist etc. "rc" so i approach with caution. I have had experience with ketamine before, so i kind of know what im in for...i think
t+30 mins.
slight feeling of being "disconnected" from reality. it seems as though my thoughts are clear and precise (although i did have approx 60mg methylphenidiate today for which is prescribed and a normal thing for me)
however my vision is like a slide show. the visual information my brain is processing is delayed. I feel slightly jelly, ok i can predict somewhat what is to come. I feel comfortable enough to resume.
t+45 mins.
20mg insufflated
Little or no burn, very easy to insuflate. i become very disconnected. a weird feeling. like being asleep but doing things. i am able to function almost normally, ie type an email to a friend.
I noticed i needed to re-read it quite a few times as i kept forgetting what i said. My anxiety has eased greatly, however i dont feel too sedated.
t+1.5hrs
Im now feeling sedated. the thought of sleep seems strange but attractive. All other distractions are meaningless to me except what i am typeing RIGHT NOW.
t+2.0 hours
Ok time to re-dose. lets kick it up a notch. i feel comfortable with this drug now. im regaining my senses now so lets do a big line. sayy 40mg.
t+3 hours
ok this is getting difficult to describe my experience due to my dis connected mindstate. Walking is difficult, wobly. I feel ...content, and sedated, not like a benzo, not euphoric so to speak, just content, relaxed. i feel so tired i want to sleep but i cant because i feel i would rather research the internet on bio-chemistry. this drug is certainly very similar to ketamine but without the volitility, the thought that i could enter a k hole is scary.... not with this, easier to control. i like that. this drug seems easier to contain and control. its like the difference between handling a raging bull and a donkey.
t+3.75 hours
time to redose i think. just a small line. its getting harder to type. here we go 10-15 mg.
t+4hours
ok now i feel very sedated and very disconnected. its almost imposible to think about normal, daily things in my life. everything is about the NOW. i am certainly dissasciated (edit disconnected) fuck i cant spell. i fell very wobly, but again, i still have that control that
you would normally lack from ketamine. its like you can turn this off when you need to. and turn back on when you feel like it. at this point i dont feel comfortable doing anymore. time is flyying. end of trip. im going to lay down for a bit and see what happens.
T+7 days later.
the conclusion.
I did end up sleeping rather well from memory.
this is a very confusing drug. im not sure what it is designed for. Its nothing and everthing. its boring and exciting. its just....baffling. Would i use it again? no...why? no use for it unless you feel like being asleep while fully conscious.
This is still a very hard drug to explain. but yes, it is very similar to ketamine. just alot safer in terms of not blacking out, infact it was hard to even sleep. In comparison to ketamine, mxe has a more serotongenic effect, also a slight opoid feel to it.so its certainly a weird one. the first time using it was like a instant antidepressant that turns weird after a few hours. it certainly lasts alot longer then ketamine in its disasociative properties, but not as strong which is a good thing, also you can do things as opposed to ketamine. I attribute this to its suspected effects on dopamine.
